Time Out

Let’s have lunch!  We are headed to Caesar’s Palace Chinese restaurant,  Beijing Noodle No. 9.  Design Spirits created a magical, modern space for this yummy restaurant…with a beautiful goal in mind, creating a space, “gently covered in light though a silk-like skin.” This interior is certainly something to be marveled at…sparkling aquarium tanks, elegant layered patterns on a double-wall design, glossy finishes and just that extra amount of “glow” that makes the restaurant stand out from any other.  Now, what shall we order?

Art House/DeForest Architects

Art House by DeForest Architects, was transformed from a house of heavy stone and beams to a spacious and airy residence.  This light-filled place is perfect for food, art, and family.   I love it here…

I’m Moving

I am completely taken with this residence.  Palm Beach Residence is the work of Australian interior design firm, Ara Design Studio. I love the comfortable, casual feel found here.  Wood, shades of blue and green, a special door, stone, bath with garden view, and a well-appointed chunky quartz crystal all lead me to the same conclusion…I want to move into this house…

Trey Jordan Architecture

Happy Sunday.  What are you up to today?  I have been enjoying visiting a few of my favorite blogs.  Usually, along the way a bit of magic happens.  I began at La Boheme, was led to Meta Musings, and once there was introduced to Santa Fe based Trey Jordan Architecture.   The rest is history…magic.

Time Out

Can you manage to slip away for a cup of coffee?  I happened upon the perfect spot.  We’ll meet at Lady M Cake Boutique in NYC by Sam Trimble.  This gorgeous boutique bakery is between Madison Avenue and Park Avenue.  Dressed in white, glass, and marble; and wearing silver as an accessory, Lady M Cake Boutique is an inviting and elegant venue to enjoy coffee and dessert.

Soho Loft/The Apartment

Located in an 1882, six-story, red brick building with an intriguing past as department store, the Soho Loft by The Apartment provides a fabulous family space for three.  Here you will find a sculptural stacked-wood fireplace, Marc Sadler Boffi kitchen, a library corner with floating book shelves, and great light and views.  Oh, and you may recognize this apartment from the film, “The Devil Wears Prada.”  Enoy the tour…

I’ll Have What They’re Having

The Boone residence is a renovation of a historical two bedroom private residence in New York City by Richardson Sadeki.

A sweet accessory…

I love a dining room/library combination…

The glass staircase keeps the space open and bright…

Very luxe…I love the neutrals.

Photographer Joe Fletcher

Joe Fletcher, I’m not a photographer, but I can spot a superb image when I see one.  Your photographs are clear, sharp, and crisp; and, the lighting is always oh so perfect.  Keep them coming, please.  I am a huge fan.

Ravine Guest House/Shim-Sutcliffe Architects

The Ravine House by Toronto-based Shim-Sutcliffe Architects has a peaceful and calm presence.  The house is set in a ravine within a lush Canadian landscape.  There is more I can say about this meditative space, but instead, I think I will just say, “ahhhh…”
