Elok House House/Chang Architects

Elok House By Chang Architects, is an outcome of an owner’s dream to live in a forest setting amidst the urbanized city of Singapore, and an architect’s interpretations of this dream.  Job well done.

Bachelor’s Retreat

This beautiful forest retreat was designed by Olson Kundig Architects and is located in the North of the San Juan islands within the Salish Sea. It is a single room cabin, meant as a getaway for a bachelor.  I think it would work well for a woman, too.

I’m Moving…

Alright, I know I have said it before, but I am moving…this time to the old port of Jaffa, Tel Aviv – Israel on the Mediterranean Sea.  Here we will find contemporary minimalism meets historical asceticism in a residential flat designed by Israeli-based Pitsou Kedem Architects.  I will have you over for dinner once I get settled in.

Time Out

Shall we dine out tonight?  Let’s meet at Barbecoa in London.  The creation of Tom Dixon and Design Research Studio, the Barbecoa color scheme is inspired by the cooking… pinks and reds of the meat, blues and greens from smoke and herbs.

How I love the bling of the signature Tom Dixon lighting…

Bespoke concrete tables…

Let’s not miss St. Paul’s in the background…

Oversized cage banquettes reminiscent of eating around a camp-fire…

Where shall we sit?  Booth or table?
