Ryan Mc Elhinney Creative
I love the creative work of Ryan Mc Elhinney. We are visiting Adee Phelan Salon in Covent Garden.
A different way of looking at time…
Mc Elhinney’s toy gold toy lamp…
love the gilded mirrors on the black wall…
and finally, a bed in the salon…after all, highlights and a cut are exhausting, yes?
Beauty Study
Beauty Study explores the qualities of feminine beauty through graphic relations with fashion and architectural patterns, triggering our fantasy and transferring us to a state where the real world mingles with the unreal.
Time Out
Adrere Amellal is located in Siwa, Egypt, in the middle of the Sahara Desert. Bedouin nomads are its neighbors and it is 200 miles away from the nearest town. Constructed out of kershef, a mud and rock salt combination from the large salt lake adjacent, the hotel is a maze of corridors and rooms. The beds, the armchairs, everything is made of kershef. There is no electricity at the hotel and nightfall is a magical time with beeswax candles used as the only source of light. Ready to explore? Let’s pack our bags.
The Wave House/A-cero Studio
The stunning Wave House by Joaquin Torres of A-cero Studio is on the market for $15 million. The Wave House in Casa de Campo, Dominican Republic, is inspired by the surf. It is constructed from blocks of milky coralline. The interior of the house is open and modern. Seating and bespoke corian are sunken into the ground.
Maggie Austin Cake
I like to routinely offer a treat to cabbagerose tumblr readers. It is my way of saying, ‘thank you,’ for stopping by and visiting my blog. After all, when you have a guest to your home, you offer a little something to eat, yes? In searching for sweet morsels, I was lucky to come across Maggie Austin Cake…her cakes are nothing short of inspirational, and almost too pretty to eat.
Located in the Washington DC metro area, Maggie Austin Cake offers a fresh interpretation of cake and cookie design. Exclusively custom and exquisitely tailored, Maggie Austin designs display symmetry, elegance, and sophistication with the subtle yet unmistakable mark of haute couture.
Skylight House/Chenchow Little
We are in Sydney and we are visiting Skylight House by Chenchow Little. The project was a remodel and the facade of the home had to remain the same because the house is in a conservation zone. The interior exhibits materials and colors that are minimalist and pure: raw concrete, glass, white walls and spotted gum hardwood.
This Is Mine, OK I’ll Share…
Welcome to Sunrise Residence by Jolson Architecture…truly fab.
Pink October
A sampling of pink for Breast Cancer Awareness Month…
Beautiful shot inside the historical and architectural city of Petra in Jordan.
