Time Out…

…Let’s meet this evening at Chateau Chevel Blanc Winery in France by Christian de Portzamparc.  Wine making is elevated to a new level…the flowing design of the building resembles the infinity sign.  The winery incorporates traditional french architectural principals with new wave charm and modern elegance.

On Fire…

…ha!..this fab action shoot by new york photography, Yulia Gorbachenko, reminded me of my running partner who was assigned the bib number 911…she was teased unmercifully throughout the race…I told her to nevermind the teasing, she simply was ‘on fire.’

Emmanuelle Moureaux Architect

French architect, Emmanuelle Moureaux, has been living in Japan since 1966.  Inspired by traditional Japanese sliding screens, Emmanuelle has created the concept of ‘Shikiri,’ which literally means ‘dividing (creating) space with colors’ in English.  I find her work to be light and minimal with a dash of whimsy…always inspiring and memorable….

Lenny Kravitz: Rock Star Designer

Oh, Lenny Kravitz, you are more than a Hollywood triple threat…musician, actor, interior designer, and fashion designer…not to mention heart throb.  Lenny began his New York City-based interior design company in 2003, but now he wants to expand Kravitz Design into an empire including furniture, bedding and clothing lines.  “The plan is to make it a lifestyle brand, (that is) my dream for this company. In the same way you would see Ralph Lauren or Giorgio Armani.”  Lenny, I’ll be inviting you into my home…
