Dear Global Warming…
…the winter days in Chicago are so grey…please send just a bit of snow to make the days brighter?
“The Phenomenon Collection” by Tokujin Yoshioka is inspired by snow, honeycomb, and rain.
Heaven, Earth, Water…
…I am swept off my feet by the Busan Opera House by Snohetta. It is a graceful beauty. The idea behind its conception is thoughtful and meaningful…
The form of the Busan Opera house is derived from its own context and culture. The basis for the lay-out refers to Kun (Heaven) meeting Kon (Earth) which again meet Kam (Water). The classical trigrams of these elements both describe this site exceptionally well, whilst they refer to the historical and philosophical relationships that are of great importance to Korean culture. The slight bending of the surfaces in Snøhetta`s design are the bars of the trigrams slightly deformed to touch and meet each other in a subtle manner.

Let’s Stretch…
…pilates! Yes, stretch, breathe, use those stomach muscles…and stretch even more. A simple, modern, mostly white space atypical of the normal Pilates environment…Erica Bloom Pilates studio and wellness center in the middle of Madison Avenue in New York by KGB…watch out, here we come…
Lichtschlucker Pendant Lights by Meike Harde…
…disposable never looked so good…
The lights Lichtschlucker work with disposable cups, which normally have a very short lifetime. The different models show the great variety of shapes by different arrangement of cups. Lichtschlucker offers disposable dishes a permanent life as a decorative lamp shade. The ecological aspect consists in the fact that a disposable product is converted into a durable and functional furnishing.
Go Ahead…
…I am officially in ‘hunting and gathering mode’ with the holiday season upon us. What will make me bundle up and expend physical energy to purchase gifts instead of drinking hot cocoa in my living room and ordering gifts online? The windows of retail shops, the experience of the season…go ahead…make my day…entice me to enter…

Sauna, Anyone?…
